Pet owners should pay taxes for their ownership, that money, added to the money collected from fines and penal sanctions for owners of battered pets, should be aimed at programs such as:
- Community castration.
- Municipal Animal Police.
- Shelters for stray dogs and cats.
- Program of GPS trackers with registration and ownership of the mascot.
- School program, from the initial level, awareness of the value of animal life and responsible tenure.
All these measures would end up averting the euthanasia of animals and overpopulation in shelters in the medium term, as well as radically reduce the number of stray animals.
Between all we can achieve it, this should be Law.
