Ecuadorian aboriginals, how can be possible that you celebrate the sacrifice of a living and endangered being. We need the support of all the Ecuadorian authorities to act immediately, please help us.
Not only the aboriginals have taken the spectacled bear near to extinction, also farmers and hunters are responsible. Their homes are invaded, so they die in their hands due to the intense human activity.
They depend on the climate, flora and fauna of the forest that is vital for their survival. The destruction of their habitat, about 38% of the tropical forests of Ecuador, is increasing and it means they have fewer places to live, less places to eat, being more exposed, leading to be hunted more easy.
We need the Government of Ecuador to take charge of this problem, we need a Law to protect spectacled bears as well as to bring to justice those responsible for taking them almost to extinction. We cannot allow, we cannot afford, to lose more native species.
