SIGN AND SHARE !: No More "SACRIFICES" of Dogs and Cats at Animal Control Centers in Mexico, which create Clinics and Shelters for Animal Care

I request the most attentive, on behalf of millions of Mexicans to be taken into account the following:

In Mexico there is a great amount of feline and canine fauna that cohabit with its "owners", and another large percentage cohabit in the streets, (if you can call it that), and suffer from hunger, thirst and all kinds of abuses and mistreatment.

So far, some laws have been decreed that protect animals, but are hardly punished. There are several associations, foundations, people, etc., who are dedicated to protect the animals, but without laws that assert themselves, they have remained almost with their hands tied.

This is a writing where I ask each and every one of you to dialogue and question everything about animal welfare, and therefore the welfare of society.

1.- If there are already laws against animal abuse, then it should be ensured that they are fully complied with.

2 .- "Animal sacrifice" is animal abuse, it is a murder, and as such should be punished; since it does not agree with the new Laws of the Rights of the Animals. It is an offense for any type of animal abuse and it is not said if this leads to death. On the other hand there are Animal Control Centers, where they have ALL permission from the "LAW" and other authorities involved to kill them, including traces, and there is not punished ... why ?, because they have no owner ?, it would be just like killing every human being who did not have Dad or Mom, it's strong but it's reality. Animals are defenseless beings that depend on us, we must not mistreat them or exploit them, much less believe that we can kill them because they do not speak like us, of course they have other means of expression.

3.- Animal Control Centers (C.C.A.) should be abolished, and Veterinary Clinics for Animal Care and / or Hospitals should be established where they are treated with dignity. There are already some, but they are not enough for the whole population canine and feline, mainly; we need more in the whole Republic.

- The Animal Control Centers, which in fact many of them are Antealas de Muerte, for those dogs and cats that nobody adopts or claims as his in a period of three days (72 hours). It should be noted that in some C.C.A. are sterilized, vaccinate dogs and cats free of charge; even people can go to adopt the animals by paying a recovery fee for rabies vaccination, deworming and even the sterilization of the dog or cat (ranging from $ 135.00 to $ 450.00 pesos). It is worth noting the great work of rescuers who have pages on Facebook where they promote adoptions, so that these dogs and cats are not sacrificed.

- People bring their pets there when they no longer want them, and of course more if they are cats or dogs in a street situation, which are often better there than with their aggressive owners, who, in addition to beating them, have them moored in the rain or sun, without water or food.

- It is possible to mention that an animal can be aggressive and its owner, the attacked subject, or a relative takes it to an Animal Control Center to be sacrificed, but what chance of life give the dog or the cat? any. There are centers and people who are dedicated to training animals. Therefore these centers and / or people will be channeled to train the animal in question, for its "rehabilitation" and to coexist with humans. It is necessary to take into account that many times the territory of the animal is invaded, or it is attacked, reason why the animal responds.

a) These Animal Care Clinics and / or Hospitals must have ambulances for rescue and transportation of the animals, and that have equipment, medicines and other supplies, in addition to the human personnel trained, necessary for the timely care of them.

4.- The ownership of animals must be regulated. Every Mexican citizen and / or foreigner must prove to be able to maintain an animal, (of the species that it is), to give him the necessary care, to carry a license of vaccination and consultations required, to sterilize him; whether you have them or want to adopt them, even for those who still insist on buying an animal.

a) That talks about the responsible holding of animals, including their care, depending on the species, race, gender, etc., and above all talk about the advantages of timely sterilization, since there are many people who are ill informed.

b) Each animal includes its chip and nameplate (name and age, owner's name, current phone number, if vaccinated and sterilized, etc.).

c) Candidates for shelters and shelters, as well as animal assistance for those who are unprotected in case their owner loses work, suffers an accident or dies.

5.- To carry out permanent vaccination and sterilization campaigns throughout the Mexican Republic. We know that there are places where they do, but more are needed, especially where there are more animals in street situation. They should even include Saturdays and Sundays.

6.- Strictly regulate the purchase and sale of animals of any species.

7.- To prevent animal fights, to punish those who carry them out and promote them.

8.- To prohibit all kinds of "spectacles" where animals are mistreated and / or murdered, punish those who carry them out and promote them.

10.- With respect to animals in street situation:

a) To create shelters that have everything necessary for their well-being, that is to say, they have facilities, material resources, food, vaccines, medicines, veterinarians and trained personnel, according to the canine and feline population of the place.

b) That staff working within clinics, hospitals, government-run shelters, help rescue animals on the street and / or abuse, as it is often difficult to catch a puppy, kitten, etc. ., who has been attacked or who has always lived on the street.

c) That the rescuers in general, can go to request these services of animal assistance, without being denied the attention to them for not having owner; or also for being rescued from an owner who mistreats him.

d) Each shelter or shelter has a web page to monitor the animals' stay, and for people to get to know who is ready to be adopted.

e) Not to discriminate against shelters, shelters, rescuers, etc., who already have time to help animals, and often use their resources and the support of other people, to keep animals well.

f) To implement strategies such as advertisements, road education, etc., so that people do not run over animals. Require people that if they run over an animal, help it and pay the expenses. Those who run over an animal with intent, to pay with a fine or jail as stipulated by the law in force.

With all these actions a good control of the demographic density of the animals, especially of cats and dogs, will be maintained, there will be no animals mistreated nor in street situation. At first it may be difficult, and think about the costs involved, but in five years or perhaps less or more time, reducing the animal population, both feline and canine, will reduce expenses, we would occupy less material resources and fewer resources humans; counting that we would have a society with better quality of life, people with greater warmth and fewer illnesses. Because as we are, it is a Vicious Circle, never ends, and promotes aggressive, irresponsible people; and animals that could be healthy, will be sick, until someone kills them, sets them on fire, hits them, throws them hot water, gives them hot oil, hits them, sexually abuses them, uses them psychologically, uses them for pornography, or just do not feed them and leave them in the cold or heat until the end.

P.S. That resources be allocated for animal welfare, since it is a National (and World) claim; we can not keep our arms crossed, watching every hour, every day, all year round, how there are animals wrapped in blood and indifference in the media including social networks.
