Last Friday the City of Seville, through the delegation of Security, Mobility and Major Holidays, announced the cancellation of the pony carousels of the parcel of activities of the fairground attractions of the Feria de Abril.

The Consistory cancels the licenses for these carousels.

Everyone, at some point in our lives, has been able to see (unfortunately) a pony carousel, where fathers and mothers ride their children on these animals for a few turns. Also, apart from seeing these ignorant and happy children mounted on these ponies, we have been able to observe the suffering of these animals. We have all seen the glances of these, bitter and tortured, who plead rest and peace.

These animals are thrown hours and hours, for days, WITHOUT REST, circling over and over again. Sometimes it is observed that he wants to sit down, to rest a little, but impossible because they are anchored to the structure that makes them turn. Many of these animals die of fatigue.

Apart from this torture so atrocious to which they are subjected for hours, every day, when it ends they are locked in tiny habitacles where they can not almost move. They live in unhealthy and poorly fed conditions.

Apart from these poor animals, it is worth noting the terrible education given to these children, an education based on mistreatment.

The space that occupy this “attraction” in our fairs can occupy other really fun and do not harm anyone. It is a shame that in the XXI century we continue to see torture as a fun and even more, to educate our children with these bases. These poor animals do not deserve this torture.

In cities like Malaga it was possible to prohibit thanks to the signatures in platforms of this nature.
