We have succeeded, animalists! In Spain will not be allowed the aesthetic mutilations of the tail in dogs!!

A month ago, when no party remembered the tail of the dogs, PACMA began a campaign of political pressure for Congress to ratify the European Convention on Animal Protection and not, as intended, to accept a reservation that would allow Was still mutilating the tail to the dogs by aesthetic caprices. We sent our proposal to all political groups and today all (except the Popular Party) have voted in favor of prohibiting these amputations.

Another step! When ratifying the agreement all the autonomous communities will have to adapt and prohibit in their animal protection laws the aesthetic mutilations. Amputations of the ears, vocal cords, nails and teeth were already forbidden.

We shared the video that we put on February 9 in which our president Silvia Barquero, at the end of the Congress of Deputies, explained the reasons why we decided to register the proposal. And here, the complete intervention: https://vimeo.com/202198628

And all this, without having representatives in parliament.

Imagine what we will get when we have representation!

Addressed to: Government of Spain

Prohibit in all the communities of Spain the mutilation of the ears and the tail to the dogs

It is a cruelty for animals, not only it hurts but also is a very fundamental part of them, with the cut tail lose balance since it is an extension of the spine apart from being a painful and traumatic operation for the animal, can affect them in behavior.

They only cut it for cosmetic reasons, there are no reasonable reasons, besides if the operation is not carried on a specialized veterinarian can become mortal.

The lack of tail and ears affects the communication of animals.
