The official said that "an investment of 2.5 million pesos is currently being made to improve the conditions of the habitat where Pelusa has been living for more than 50 years, in order to give it a better quality of life."
"Pelusa has a chronic disease -pododermatitis- for 4 years on its hind legs. That is why it is medicated and under continuous care by the veterinary staff of the Zoo, "said Larrán.
