On Friday, July 24, the popular anti-bullfighting consultation forum is going to be held in the Chamber of Commerce of Chapinero.

Patricia Mosquera, President of the Bogota Council, said that the participation will be open to all citizens and some of the main sectors and I invite you to contribute to the debate next week during the Council plenary to define the feasibility of the initiative .

We are happy, it is a great step and we hope that it will be resolved favorably so that bullfights in Bogota are prohibited.

Mayor Petro through the Bogota City Hall filed an anti-bullfighting consultation at the Bogota Council. This consultation would have to be carried out in the votes of October of this year, but the National Registry pronounced in the sense that it is not possible to do it in the votes of October.

According to the National Registry, the system designed for electoral cards already exists, so any change would have an impact on the information, logistics and resources, since there is no time to request the appropriate changes to the Ministry of Finance to cover everything that I would demand this consultation.

We urgently need this issue to be resolved, we can not wait two more years for a consultation, it has to be done this year. Enough to wait, no time, is today and now. We do not want bullfights to continue in Bogota, so the consultation has to be carried out as soon as possible.

We citizens are the ones who have to determine if bullfights should continue in Bogota or if we say YES TO LIFE, IF RESPECT TO LIFE, and we eliminate this archaic and brutal practice. NO TO THE BULLS IN BOGOTA.
