We need solutions to end so much neglect and abuse of the animals. They also deserve a good quality of life and be loved. For this we need to create organisms that build shelters for them, since private institutions can help with food, veterinary supplies and medical assistance.
The price of pet food has increased and is as or more difficult to achieve than human food. Therefore, the number of dropouts of dogs and cats has increased.
In the Animal Protection and Control Center of the capital municipality of Baruta, it is estimated that they leave abandoned, in front of the door, "eight to ten animals" daily, between dogs and cats.
This problem has also affected some zoos and racetracks in the country. Between March and May, approximately 72 horses died from starvation and poor nutrition at the Santa Rita racecourse in the western city of Maracaibo.
We need urgent help to save the lives of thousands of animals.
