Horse races are another form of animal abuse and exploitation, in which they are used in shows where they are forced to perform heavy physical exertion to entertain a group of people who are just looking to make money. Year after year thousands of horses around the world die from overdoses, make terrible physical exertion, injuries, etc.
Why we consider this abuse?
The mares are exploited for insemination, having to give birth again and again so that after calving they are separated from their offspring.
Hard daily workouts that cause them stress and extreme exhaustion.
They start training at the young age of 2 years, when they are still growing, which makes them prone to injuries and fractures.
Broken bones, ruptured tendons, bruises and wounds, stress, intestinal problems, leading almost inevitably to the death of the horses.
They are provided with cocktails of drugs such as steroids, Lasix (a powerful diuretic), anesthetics to block the pain caused by the hard and strenuous workouts, thyroxine (to speed up metabolism), which causes their bodies are gradually destroyed.
Racehorses often end their lives dying in a slaughterhouse or euthanasia, when they are no longer useful to run or have suffered serious injury.
Protest, manifest not attend to horse races and other horses shows, spread the truth about this, we must all put an end to this slaughter.
