The Municipality of Ourém has promised (for a long time) to build a kennel to collect the abandoned animals and not to sacrifice them, but as there is no interest in the house nor sufficient pressure for the person who hates this, for the construction of the kennel for the animals near Fatima, will forget this promise and will spend the money they had available for this construction of other works that give more votes.

The FAA also learned that it is an engineer who depends directly on the rectory of the sanctuary, which leaves the poison (very fast action) to kill some dogs harder to catch. We could not have access to his name, but we know that there is only one engineer with tasks related to the green zone surrounding the sanctuary.

The situation has become more serious for some time, the dogs placed in the cages, disappear. We believe that they are sacrificed by some sanctuary workers, as dogs bark at night and may annoy tourists, or they may raise suspicions of abuse against animals perpetrated a "sacred" place.

We do not know how many animals were killed with the arrival of the 13th of May and with the arrival of the current representative of the Catholic Church in Fatima, but we believe that they were, they do not see any dogs, because the streets were clean, as is always done with a Impressive regularity.

This is an abominable situation, the party that calls itself representative of God, an incomprehensible cruelty in a space that they want to make sacred and that they themselves profane with death and blood.
