Cancel the decision that the change of energy meters throughout Chile is the responsibility of the user

The energy meters in Chile are owned by each user, we pay them in due time. Now Enel, justified in its million dollar investment, managed to get the government to approve the obligation to change our meters without any compensation for ours that will withdraw us, and install the new ones and be our cost.

If they require this new technology for their interests, why should we pay for their investments? Is not enough the millionaire profits that month after month?

They also reported that, due to the rise in the dollar and the implementation of this new technology in the meters, electricity rates will have an increase that is currently being studied by the Comptroller for approval.

In other words, it will make us pay, obligatorily, even if we refuse to withdraw from our meter, the new one we have to pay for it (although it will still be their property), and even more, justifying ourselves in this, the energy bill will go up.

It should be noted that these new meters, if we have a power cut by a small cut in our home, does not allow, using the automatic, to restore power as it happens with current.

If we look at the register of Enel shareholders, we will realize that there are many high government officials, which we are clear, legislate for their economic interests, without thinking of a single moment in the town.

Enough of legalized corruption in the government.
