If we can not help the animals or ourselves, we are not capable of loving. They are helpless and need our help. Solidarity, that word so invoked but in practice is so little used.
The government fines the people who feed the stray animals, and that is something we must change, let's say to the Government that we will not tolerate being fined, that if they do not want us to feed the stray animals that must do it, which is ultimately their responsibility. No to fines, yes to shelters for stray animals.
