I would like to draw your attention to the deplorable living conditions of the lions of the Belvedere Zoo in Tunisia. They are in a terrible state, hungry, skeletal and sick, spending all their lives locked up in small cages.
Many times they are attacked by visitors who have violent behavior, who throw bottles, stones or other items at hand.
We must end this suffering and ask the authorities of the Tunis Zoo and the Government of that country to do everything possible to send the lions to a reserve where they are protected and no longer in those deplorable conditions awaiting death.
