Tomi has been released from his prison and now lives in a nature reserve!

Tomi has been rescued from this hell in which he lived caged in a restaurant where it was exploited by its owners.

Thanks to the social pressure of all we have achieved that officials of the Government of Albania rescued and released Tomi in a nature reserve, after passing through the Zoo of Tirana where he was treated by veterinarians and then from Kosovo, where he now lives freely .

Thanks to all of you Tomi now shares his life with many other bears who were also rescued from places where they were locked up and mistreated.

Liberate Tomi the bear

Tomi was captured in the wild and forced to live in a cage. Sometimes when it can smell the food, he despairs and looks in the direction where the customers are, and hopefully manages to get him fed. Occasionally he puts his jaws through the iron bars and sticks out his tongue, because he clings to the hope that someone can feed him. At other times, he walks around his cage intensely, and then start biting the extremities while shaking his head violently.

The restaurant owner captured Tomi two years ago and gives beer every day  so it can be more thirsty. It also allows customers to feed the bear throwing junk food. Crowds flock to see Tomi every day. People recorded videos with the desperate bear on their phones, pose for selfies, and feed it with junk food.

The man who penned this brown bear for two years in order to attract customers to his business insists that there is nothing wrong with lock Tomi 24 hours a day.

The brown bear from Albania has become an endangered species.

Only about 250 bears still free in the poverty-stricken country, in addition to the 80 who are living in cages. The saddest thing is that in Albania people do not show interest in conservation, welfare or participation in education on wildlife and the environment.

There are no Laws on the possession of unregulated weapons and that has made that anyone can go and shoot everything they see, regardless conservation issues.

We call for the release of Tomi, enough of animal abuse, our pressure can achieve this little miracle.
